Women & Their Fish

Women & Their Fish is a project where I wanted to expose an absurd juxtaposition against a tapestry of flowers intertwined. Many of these portraits are artists friends of mine.

When recruiting for the project, I would keep it simple. A facial left, right, center, and profile. Then I would ask what their favorite fish may be? Lastly, I/we would go dress shopping across the web for something fashionable, but also retained a personality complement. With those elements intact, so begins the design process.

Once the design proofs make grade, I print a final. Next, I then gell coat it with a substrate for paint. I then hand paint oils, especially into the subjects. I often add after-print pastings, cut paper, glitter, etc
